For the last fifteen years I have also been a middle and high school advisor. I have relished the role of advisor and place great emphasis on my pastoral duties. I understand the challenges facing adolescents during this period of their development and try to find a balance between clear boundaries and compassionate understanding.

My work as a student council co-ordinator, middle and high school soccer coach and my participation in numerous overnight trips has hugely influenced my work in the classroom.

I especially love coaching soccer. At my last four schools, I have either started or expanded the soccer programmes and have helped stimulate a real love of the game in many students, helping teams win international tournaments and participate with good grace, sportsmanship and a sense of perspective. I also find that the relationships I develop while coaching help me to connect with children in the classroom.
